Williams Performance Tenders |
Before UK-based Williams Performance Tenders specialized in the development of so-called jet tenders, the company made a name for themselves with high-quality power boots. Having realized the trend in the development of engines, Williams is about to bring a new family of jet tenders to market that will all be powered exclusively with four stroke MPE 750 engines. The MPE 750’s compact and light build supports the use in jet tenders that are used primarily as garaged auxiliary craft in yachts of 12 to 24 meters. Large distances can be achieved owing to the low consumption, which considerably increases the recreational value of such jet tenders. |
Polaris Industries Inc. Personal Watercraft |
The Polaris Corp. is one of the largest manufacturers of motorized recreational products. About 50 years ago, Polaris’ founders invented the snowmobile as a transport means for the regions long and hard winters. Polaris’ history is characterized by innovation and the spirit of pioneering. In the run of their 50-year history, Polaris has developed into the largest manufacturer of ATVs and snowmobiles and into an important manufacturer of personal watercrafts and motorcycles. In cooperation with Polaris, Weber Motor achieved series production of an engine for personal watercraft applications. This was accomplished within a short period of time and included the complete development of an engine operating system. The operational conditions posed a special challenge. Personal watercrafts are designed for accelerations up to 40 times of gravitational acceleration in order to afford drivers the necessary safety for jumps over wave crests. An example for our innovative ability is our patented aluminum-cast water-cooled turbocharger housing. With this development, we succeeded in lowering the critical engine-chamber temperature for many applications, and thus in making a clear contribution for the operational safety of turbo-charged engines in the recreational area.

Rinspeed AG - Splash |
For years the Swiss company Rinspeed has been one of the most innovative developers and manufacturers of concept vehicles and vehicle individualizations. At the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, the Rinspeed Corp. surprised the experts with a not only exciting but also ingenious concept car. ‘Show them what is possible’ – Rinspeed’s basic concept for a vehicle that was developed in just 4 months. The Rinspeed Splash was the result – a vehicle that can not only drive (up to 200 km/h) but can also swim (up to 50 km/h) and even more, can glide while hovering over water (at up to 80 km/h in glide-mode). All of this is achieved with a powerful engine that generates 140 hp out of 750 ccm and is fueled environmentally-friendly with natural gas – our Weber MPE 750 engine.

Matra Automobile M72 |
The basic concept of the M72, which was developed by Matra, is as simple as convincing: A sports vehicle with sophisticated longitudinal and lateral dynamics, lowest-possible weight, minimized running costs, up-to-date crash test values and high fun factor. Matra introduced the M72 to the public at the 2000 Paris Show and in the pre-series stage at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show. The echo was absolutely positive.
